Developed and enhanced the Digital Video Event Recorder (DVER) DVER Configuration Tool (DCT). This standalone Windows 9x/NT/200/XP application allows a field technician to easily configure DVER platforms for specific test requirements.
Developed a GPS timing software algorithm allowing a PC (sans 1PPS input) to differentially correct it's clock interrupt time spacing based on collected National Maritime Electronics Association (NMEA) data.
Developed the initial baseline DVER Video log viewer. This DirectX Windows code base allows DVER MPEG-2 data files to be viewed and contained the hooks necessary to control the video data stream.
Developed Windows 9x, NT, 2000 and XP LAN Driver libraries enabling LAN monitoring capabilities for the TISH stimulator application.
Designed and developed the MAIS-FireWireŽ Interface Box (MFIB). This M1A2 & M2A3-based Windows 2000 system is responsible for monitoring the MIL-STD-1553B bus, Discreet I/O, recording data and triggering the Digital Video Event Recorders (DVER)s.
Initiated and completed a project in Ft. Bliss, TX that enabled the cooperation of OTC (Ft. Hood) and Air Defense Artillery Test Directorate (ADATD). I developed a system that allowed seamless interaction between the OTC MAIS system and the ADATD instrumentation system.
Developed an integrated software solution to retrieve and normalize pointing vector data from the Smith Industries North Finding Module (NFM) using an RS-422 interface over PC-104. This system will be used by the ADATD to retrofit 2nd generation Boeing Avengers with accurate attitude sensors.
Developed and demonstrated centralized geometric pairing capabilities at White Sands Missile Range. This VR-Link-based Windows application enabled air-to-ground RTCA determination and notification between Air National Guard F-16's and MAIS-equipped ground units. It effectively translated between the Advanced Range Data System (ARDS and MAIS to produce Distributed Information System (DIS) Entity State, Fire and Detonation Protocol Datagram Units (PDU)s.
Developed an application for the ADATD that processes received RTCM-104 Differential GPS Correction messages and produces an ARDS Message 2 (DGPS). This application will be used in Roving Sands '03.
Developed and enhanced the Common Data Link (CDL) Controller which allows cross-service platforms to pair geometrically using locally developed Target Selection, Weapon Flyout and Weapons Effect algorithms. The CDL application now consists of over 600,000 lines of code and provides all of the required DIS, TENA and HLA translation, Real-time Casualty Assessment (RTCA) and Terrain Database functions to pair Army, Navy and Air Force native instrumentation systems. The CDL package is currently TENA compliant to the JNTC (JRF/RS’05) Joint Object Model (JOM), HLA-compliant to the MATREX FOM 3.0, and supports DIS versions through version 6.0.
Developed a Statement of Work on behalf of the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) allowing our support with the enhancement of the BestFOM application. Enhancements are envisioned to allow WSMR technicians the ability to filter specific data by participant (Receiver) ID and allow the operator to reroute data (raw and correlated) based on Mission ID to designated UDP ports.
Developed a white paper detailing the Modification of the Common Data Link (CDL) and Operational Test - Tactical Engagement System (OT-TES) in preparation for Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) Tier 1 level compliance.
Developed a white paper outlining the Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) requirement to implement Instrumentation providing ground truth data via interoperable instrumentation systems, interoperable inter/intra service ranges and real-time and post event AAR capability.
Developed a concept document for the Concept Paper for the Multi-Purpose Instrumentation System and Monitoring Network (Playas MPIS). This paper is a design master plan proposal for the integration of the Playas, NM physical site instrumentation communications infrastructure.
Developed a White Paper outlining the Joint TENA Automated Player Id System (JTAPS). This system allows platform publishers to publish only the locally relevant player id information while JTAPS provides the globally relevant identifications. The mapping between local and global identification is done automatically by JTAPS during object discovery. TENA Publishers remain unaware of and don’t need to maintain a local version of the master playerlist.
Co-developed a position paper with the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWCD) outlining an architecture and methodological implementation for Joint Real-time Casualty Assessment using TENA at the National Training Center (NTC) Ft. Irwin, CA. This project was envisioned to be a collaborative effort between the NTC, PEOSTRI and the US Army Operational Test Command (OTC) for evaluation and demonstration of new Geometric Pairing technology designed to provide the interoperability required for real time casualty assessment within the Joint Forces testing and training environments.
Developed a Statement of Work on behalf of the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) allowing our support with development of a TENA interface to the KABIC track output. The TENA interface will be a separated program that inputs the KABIC track data and uses current track object models and publishes the data on the TENA network.
Assessed and provided detailed recommendations concerning the Dismounted troop kit (DMT) input to Operational Test- Tactical Engagement System (OT-TES) communications upgrade system specification cross walked with MAIS/OT-TES land warrior baseline and upcoming Objective MAIS deliverables.

Developed guidelines and documented issues concerning the JNTC TENA Interface Acceptance Test. These guidelines will be used by the JNTC Live Architecture group to evaluate application TENA interfaces used at the Joint Red Flag/Roving Sands and future exercises.
Assisted with development of Maintenance Requirements for New Player/Comm System. These requirements serve to define Maintenance and debug capability as an integral part of the design, not patched in at the last minute. The requirements define “hooks” to validate the operational functionality and performance of the design; as part of the design.
Assisted with the revision and application of geometric pairing principles to the MK-19 Operational Requirements Document (ORD). The Mark (MF) 19 tactical engagement simulator (TES) will be primarily used during force-on-force (FOE) exercises as part of Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) and at Combat Training Centers (CTC’s) and home station from squad through brigade level. It will simulate the firing and effects of the actual weapon system.
